Checking In: A look back at my past few months reporting in Boise
My experiences in the field are something I will be forever grateful for. There is nothing more awkward than standing in the public eye with a large camera, seemingly speaking into nothingness. Those feelings are years behind me, but they have built a focus within me that allows for better delivery in the studio. I discovered a new-found love for the anchor desk recently. As you can see, I’ve anchored some shows over the past few months and have continued adlibbing on the weather wall. Working in the field helped me handle those technical moments of uncertainty and continue to keep going without relying solely on the prompter.
With that said, I have grappled a lot of new storytelling positions over the past few months. Take a look at some of the highlights in the video above. I look forward to refine these skills and tell the stories that matter to the Treasure Valley community.
