Story Highlight: Photos of family and friends gathering to honor the fallen on Memorial Day

Loved ones came to the Idaho Veteran’s Cemetery on Memorial Day to honor the fallen. Some brought blankets and sat by the graves of those who died. Some rode their motorcycles to spend time together beneath the waving American flag that rests on top of the hill there. Some brought lawn chairs to wait and catch a glimpse of the flyover organized by the Warhawk Air Museum.

I have never been to this cemetery before. I would encourage anyone to go. It has beautiful views and an even greater message; a reminder of all those who scarified for our freedoms.

I was assigned to get some photos of the flyover, but I found myself spending lot’s of time there, capturing the scenes on a beautiful day.
