Story Highlight: Idaho National Guard Deployment

Families waved goodbye to their loved ones on November 5, 2021. The Idaho Army National Guard hosted a send-off event for the more than 250-person unit heading to Southwest Asia. This is the first time I covered a deployment with families in-person as some adjustments were previously made for COVID-19. It was an emotional scene as people held back tears watching their family members board the plane.
